Meet Eileen Bennet, our April Bead Star and learn a little something about her.
How long have you been beading and how did you start? My sister near the Quad Cities/Iowa/Illinois was very enthusiastic plus Pam Parrish invited me to 'the group' less than a year ago and I'm very appreciative.
What do you like best about beading? Those I have met; ideas shared; the enthusiasm and encouragement;......all the smiley faces!
Who or what motivates you in your designs? Everyone in the group with the various patterns and ideas, and seeing how personal interpretations enter into
the creativity of the finished bead art.
What bead technique would you like to become proficient at? Eventually, I would like to learn lampwork techniques.
I truly love the way the light works with the glass plus the textures. The possibilities are endless.
Cost aside, what bead material would you like to work with? I'm still learning but admire the glass, Kazuri beads, porcelain, however, anything that makes the piece 'pop' with color and texture and excitement.
